Meet the artist!

Meet Jason Guillaume! Jason is an autistic illustrator, writer, and comic book creator. He lives in Sacramento, California with his parents and siblings. At a very young age Jason was enamored with Superheroes. His early inspiration and desire to create art came from watching movies such as The Iron Giant, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and some anime.

In Middle School, Jason started to draw more attention to detail in his artistic creations. Jason continued to draw and develop new characters in his freshmen year of high school after he received an Apple Pen as a Christmas gift. With this new creative tool, Jason started to develop story lines and panels. Eventually, Jason created Rodoman (undercover name Patric Gold) who is a teenager with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), who after running away from bullies stumbled upon an artificial intelligence robotic spherical that encompassed his body and turned him into a Superhero.

Rodoman is considered the focal point of what is now a cast of characters which are all part of Mortern Comics. Jason's thematic stories focus upon saving people, promoting care and standing up to emotional bullying. He likes to add stories from personal experience and bases some of his characters on friends and family. Jason not only creates comic books but makes keychains and shirts, which he prints himself in his studio using a heat press with silk screen designs of the hundreds of characters he has created.
